Everglades Birding Tour: Marbled Godwit
The Marbled Godwit is another shorebird that manages to make its way here to South Florida for the winter. Yet another snowbird. These are beautiful birds that I've often found in mid-sized groups. Apparently they are insect eaters in their northern habitats but here they are seen probing the mudflats I'm assuming for small crustaceans: shrimp and crabs.
